Wire Rope
Holloway Wire Rope maintains a large inventory of American made wire rope to service its customers every growing need for wire rope, and wire rope lifting slings. In addition to our large stock of AMerican made wire rope, we stock a very high quality import wire rope in various metric and American standard sizes manufactured to federal specifications RR-W-4100 and meets the performance requirements of API-9A and proposed A.S.T.M. national standards in wire rope.
General Purpose Wire Rope Stock
Holloway Wire Rope supplies the industry with many types and classes of wire rope. We stock wire rope both with fiber core and steel core and in three different strengths: IPS (Improved Plow Steel), XIP (Extra Improved Plow Steel), XXIP (Double Extra Improved Plow Steel). We stock wire rope in many constructions; included in the most common are 6X26 and 6X36. We offer two finishes; Bright (self-colored) or Galvanized.

Rotation Resistant Wire Ropes
General purpose rotation resistant wire ropes such 19x7, and 8x25 are kept in stock for applications where stability of a load is critical. 19x7 is designed for applications where a single line wire rope is being used for lifting and rotation is not acceptable. 8x25 is used in applications when multi-part line is in use. 8x25 rotation resistant wire will help prevent block twisting.

Premium Wire Rope for Cranes
In addition to general purpose wire ropes, we maintain an inventory of FLEX-X 19 rotation resistant wire ropes. FLEX-X 19 rotation resistant wire rope is recommended when superior strength is required in a rotation resistant wire rope. FLEX-X 19 is an approved replacement rope for such cranes as Grove and Linkbelt.
FLEX-X 626 is also kept on hand, as a high performance replacement when your application requires a more conventional rope with exceptional strength and durability. FLEX-X 626 wire rope uses wires with smooth flat surface to improve wear characteristics and to improve strength. The engineering behind this wire rope allows for more steel per foot and this adds to the overall strength of the rope.
